Trilegal Office

Gurgaon

Designed across two phases for one of India’s leading law firms, the Trilegal offices in Saket and Gurgaon represent an evolving interpretation of the contemporary legal workplace.

Spread across 22,000 sq.ft. in Saket and 12,000 sq.ft. in Gurgaon, the projects consciously moved away from the conventional visual language typically associated with law firms – often characterised by heavy materiality, rigid formality and hierarchical spatial planning. Instead, the intent was to create work environments that felt open, collaborative and culturally rooted, while still retaining the clarity and discipline expected of a legal practice.

The Saket office was conceived as a calmer and more hospitality-driven environment, where spatial generosity, warm material palettes and curated artwork formed the basis of the experience. A large collection of art pieces from one of the senior partner’s personal collection was integrated into the workspace, allowing the office to feel less institutional and more reflective of the people inhabiting it. Reception lounges, meeting areas and circulation spaces were designed with an emphasis on volume, comfort and visual softness, challenging the conventional perception of a corporate legal office.

The Gurgaon office, completed a year later, marked a sharper evolution of the same philosophy. The design language transitioned towards a more contemporary and operational workplace character, with exposed services, cleaner geometries, open collaborative zones and increased transparency through glass-partitioned planning. The workspace adopted a leaner and more agile identity while continuing to balance warmth with functionality.

A recurring element across the Gurgaon office was the reinterpretation of legal archives and books as spatial identity markers rather than decorative nostalgia. Combined with warm wood textures, exposed concrete finishes and carefully controlled lighting, the office sought to create an environment that felt modern yet grounded.

Together, the two projects reflect an ongoing dialogue between workplace efficiency, cultural identity and human experience — demonstrating how corporate interiors can evolve alongside the values and aspirations of the organisations they represent.
